Privacy Policy

Solrise Weather ("Solrise", "we") is a weather app for iPhone made by CUAD Ventures LLC. This policy explains, in plain language, what data the app uses and why. The short version: we use your location only to show you weather, it stays on your iPhone, and we never sell it. There are no ads, no tracking, and no analytics in the app. This website (solriseweather.app) uses Google Analytics only if you allow it; see This website below.

What we collect

Location. With your permission, Solrise reads your current location to show weather where you are. You can also add cities by searching instead of sharing your location. Your saved cities, including their coordinates, are stored only on your iPhone.

Preferences. Settings like units, card order, and which advice lens you prefer are stored only on your iPhone.

Purchases. Subscriptions and one-time purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. The app only checks with Apple whether your purchase is active.

We do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos, or any account information. The app has no sign-in.

Who the app talks to

To get weather for a place, Solrise sends that place's coordinates (not your name or any identifier) to the weather services below. Like any website or server, these services may briefly log technical request information such as your IP address.

What we don't do

Your choices

You can turn location access off any time in iPhone Settings, then Solrise, then Location, and add cities by search instead. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your iPhone.

This website

This policy's app sections cover the Solrise iPhone app. The website at solriseweather.app is separate and works like this:

Children

Solrise is a general-audience weather app and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
