Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of Solrise Weather ("Solrise", "the app"), an iPhone app made by CUAD Ventures LLC ("we", "us"). By downloading or using Solrise, you agree to these terms. The app is also licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. How we handle data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Free and Premium

Solrise is free to download and use. The free version includes the forecast, current conditions, every core reading with its explanation, your location plus 2 saved cities, and the small Home Screen widget.

Solrise Premium unlocks extra features, including live radar and map layers, unlimited saved cities, the medium, large, and Lock Screen widgets, sky conditions for pilots and drone operators, and the full guide in each reading (the next 24 hours, why it moves, and advice for everyday, outdoors, and flying). Every way of buying Premium unlocks exactly the same features.

Ways to buy Premium

• Monthly: $2.49 per month, renews automatically every month.
• Yearly: $14.99 per year, renews automatically every year. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial.
• Lifetime: $34.99, paid once. It never renews and there is nothing to cancel.

Prices are in US dollars. Prices in other countries are set by the App Store in local currency and may include taxes. The price shown in the app at the moment you buy is the price you pay.

How subscriptions work

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.
• A subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your Apple ID is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the same price unless we tell you about a change in advance as the App Store requires.
• With the yearly free trial, you won't be charged if you cancel at least 24 hours before the 7 days end. If you buy another plan during the trial, any unused part of the trial ends.
• You can manage or cancel a subscription any time in iPhone Settings: tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Solrise Weather. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Premium stays on until the end of the period you already paid for.

Lifetime purchase

Lifetime is a one-time purchase that unlocks Premium for as long as Solrise Weather is offered on the App Store. It is tied to your Apple ID, so it carries over to a new iPhone: tap Restore on the Upgrade screen if it doesn't come back on its own.

Refunds

All payments are processed by Apple, so we can't issue refunds ourselves. You can request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If a purchase is refunded, Premium turns off.

Promo and offer codes

From time to time we may share codes that unlock Premium for free or at a discount, for example for launch promotions, press, or giveaways. You can redeem a code in the app (Settings, then Redeem a code, or Redeem code on the Upgrade screen) or in the App Store.

• Each code works only for what it says, such as a free period or a discounted price, and may have an expiration date or a limited number of uses.
• Codes have no cash value and can't be exchanged for money.
• When a free or discounted period from a code ends, a subscription renews at the regular price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
• Codes are redeemed through Apple and are also subject to Apple's terms. We may end a promotion at any time, but a code already redeemed stays valid for the period it gave you.

Weather information

Solrise shows forecasts and readings from Apple Weather, Foreca, and NOAA. Weather is uncertain: forecasts can be wrong, data can be delayed, and a source can be unavailable. Please use Solrise as a helpful guide, not as your only source for decisions where safety is at stake.

• In dangerous weather, follow official warnings and instructions from your national weather service and local authorities.
• Sky conditions, flight categories, and the decoded METAR and TAF reports are for information and learning. They are not an official preflight weather briefing and don't replace one. Pilots and drone operators remain responsible for checking official sources before flying.
• Explanations and advice in the app are general information, not professional, medical, or safety advice.

Using the app fairly

Please don't copy, resell, or redistribute the app or its data, try to get around Premium, or scrape or overload the services the app uses. We may change, add, or remove features over time, and some data is only available in certain places.

No warranty

To the extent the law allows, Solrise is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including that the app or its weather data will be accurate, complete, or uninterrupted.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, CUAD Ventures LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions made based on weather information in the app. Our total liability for any claim related to Solrise is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you, and nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

Changes

If these terms change, we'll update this page and the date above. Continuing to use Solrise after a change means you accept the updated terms.
